HASHA was born from a lifelong connection to karate, Japanese culture, and design.

As a JKA Shotokan karate instructor, HASHA founder Kenichi Shiba has trained and taught within the JKA tradition while maintaining close relationships with Japan and its karate community. That connection extends to the makers who continue to produce karate-gi and equipment using traditional Japanese methods.

We work directly with established Japanese manufacturers including Hirota, Shobu, and Yamaga to offer genuine Made in Japan karate-gi selected for serious karateka. HASHA brings together this traditional craftsmanship with a modern approach to Budo-inspired apparel, equipment, and everyday goods.

HASHA is a Budo-inspired brand dedicated to preserving and advancing the culture of traditional Japanese martial arts. We curate exceptional made-in-Japan karate-gi from select manufacturers founded and operated by active practitioners who specialize in traditional uniform craftsmanship. In addition, we design and develop apparel, training equipment, and original products—including makiwara—created to support serious martial artists in their pursuit of mastery.
